How do you remove a stack?

I have sucesfully used stacked PRs and ultimately got all the PRs associated with my stack merged onto the default branch of my repo. But gh stack checkout keeps showing them and I don't know how to get rid of them, except by doing a gh stack unstack <slug>, which is super tedious because it doesn't support auto-completion.
